Shankar's doll museum of Delhi is worth going, regardless of your age. The museum, while not huge in area, has an immense collection of dolls from all over the world. This is a great insight into various cultures, but at the same time a bit overwhelming in its sheer variety. The doll collection from Japan was clearly the pick of the lot. Among the Indian states, Kerela had an amazing collection. All in all, a good museum that could do with some background information about the collection. It has a collection of thousands of dolls from approximately 80-90 countries. Dolls as old as 230 years are kept here. No photography is allowed inside the museum. Can be covered in about 45-60 minutes. Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. and remains closed on every Monday. Entry fee is Rs.15.00 per adult and Rs.5.00 per child.
