Plaza Bolivar

Plaza Bolivar is one of the most important squares in the capital city Carcas. It is believed that Diego de Losada founded the Carcas city from this very point in the year 1567. The main attractions of Plaza Bolivar are monument of revolutionary El Libertador Simon Bolivar, its magnificent facade, the Metropolitan Cathedral and Palacio Municipal which is liked by tourists for its huge and charming courtyard. Also visit Museo Sacro de Caracas, a rich museum which displays articles related to the history of Carcas and few religious art works.
