Troy is a city in and the area seat of Doniphan County, Kansas, United States. Troy was platted in 1855. It was named after the old city of Troy. Significant fascination incorporates Wichita's Botanica, which is a 9.5 section of land site that highlights themed gardens. The Botanica is open year round with numerous presentations changing with the season. A portion of the principle attractions are the amphibian gathering, forest dale, youngsters' garden, butterfly cultivate, rose garden and commemoration fountain. The first house in Troy was worked in 1856, and the primary store opened in 1857. Troy was fused as a city in 1860. The primary mail station in Troy was built up in March, 1857.
