Sandwich

Sandwich is a town in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. There are a couple of attractions in Sandwich, including Heritage Museums and Gardens, the Wing Fort House, the Sandwich Glass Museum, the Thornton Burgess Museum and Green Briar Nature Center and Jam Kitchen, Hoxie House the most settled house on Cape Cod, the Dan'l Webster Inn, the Dexter Grist Mill the most prepared on Cape Cod, the Sandwich Friends Quaker Meetinghouse the most prepared in North America, and Shawme Lake. Sandwich is home to ious craftsmanship shows, and furthermore exceptional book and out-dated stores. It is in like manner home to an important piece of Otis Air National Guard Base, including an expansive bit of the land that the runways are on.

The Sandwich promenade is situated in downtown and prompts the Town Beach on Cape Cod Bay. It is a prominent vacation spot and was chosen by National Geographic in July 2010 as one of the main ten promenades in the United States. It is 1,350 feet long, from Scorton Creek to the Cape Cod Canal, and intersection the Creek Mill and the swamp. It was made in 1875 by Gustavus Howland, the child of Ellis Howland who manufactured the town corridor. In 1991, it was totally devastated by Hurricane Bob. It was reconstructed in 1992, financed through the offer of 1,700 customized boards with inscriptions. It was harmed by snowstorms in March 2018, yet has since been remade and revived in June 2018.
