Windsor is a notable market town and unparished territory in the Regal Precinct of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire, Britain. It is broadly known as the site of Windsor Palace, one of the official habitations of the English Imperial Family.
The town is arranged 21 miles 34 km west of Charing Cross, London, 7 miles 11 km south east of Maidenhead, and 22 miles 35 km east of the district town of Perusing. It is quickly south of the Waterway Thames, which shapes its limit with its littler, old twin town of Eton. The town of Old Windsor, a little more than 2 miles 3 km toward the south, originates before what is presently called Windsor by around 300 years; in the past Windsor was formally alluded to as New Windsor to recognize the two.
