Ayancik

Ayancik is a town and locale of Sinop Province operating at a profit Sea area of Turkey. The chairman is Ayhan Ergun. The Black Sea Region is a geological district of Turkey. It is circumscribed by the Marmara Region toward the west, the Central Anatolia Region toward the south, the Eastern Anatolia Region toward the southeast, the Republic of Georgia toward the upper east, and the Black Sea toward the north. In the late 19th and mid 20th century, Ayancik was a piece of the Kastamonu Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire.

The Vilayet of Kastamonu was a first-level authoritative division of the Ottoman Empire, set up in 1867 and canceled in 1922.
