Oberengstringen

Oberengstringen is a municipality within the district of Dietikon within the canton of Zurich in Switzerland, placed within the Limmat Valley. Oberengstringen is first stated in 870 as Enstelingon. In 1306 it become cited as Obren Enstringen. Limmatauen Werdholzli is a included forest and river region, partly located inside the municipality of Oberengstringen and between the Limmat weir on the Hongg power plant.
