It was formerly known as Centerary Rose Park, Jayalalithaa Rose Garden, and Nootrandu Roja Poonga. Ooty Government Rose Garden lies on the slopes of Vijayanagaram’s Elk Hill. In 1995, the garden was founded as an honor to the annual Flower Show in Udagamandalam.
