About Cheryomushki
Cheryomushki District, formerly Brezhnevsky District, is a district of South-Western Administrative Okrug of the federal city of Moscow, Russia. In 1956, the northern side of the district have become a site of a huge, cheap housing construction and a microdistrict became constructed there. Cheryomushki became a not unusual word for such housing tasks. The Soviet-technology buildings on this location have been torn down within the 1990-2000s and replaced with high-rises, additionally of standardized prefabricated concrete. Following the death of leader Leonid Brezhnev, the district turned into renamed Brezhnevsky District in his honour.
