About Bama
Bama is a Local Government Area of Borno State, Nigeria. Its central station are in the town of Bama. It has a region of 4,997 km2 and a populace of 269,986 at the 2006 registration. The postal code of the region is 610. It is situated "around 60 kilometers 37 miles from Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state".
It is one of the sixteen LGAs that constitute the Dikwa Emirate, a conventional state situated in Borno State, Nigeria." Over 50 elderly individuals were killed. A "violent video" was discharged of agitators shooting over a hundred regular citizens in a school quarters in the town of Bama. On 16 March 2015, the Nigerian armed force said that it had recovered the city.
