Denekamp

Denekamp is a metropolis within the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is part of the vicinity of Twente and the municipality of Dinkelland, and lies about 9 km northeast of Oldenzaal. The metropolis became first noted as early because the tenth century whilst it became referred to as Daginghem. The vicinity became a municipality in 1818 incorporating the settlements of Noord Deurningen, Lattrop, Breklenkamp, Tilligte, Nutter and Agelo. The municipality merged with Ootmarsum and Weerselo in 2001; the brand new municipality become first known as "Denekamp", however turned into renamed in 2002 to Dinkelland.

In 2001, the metropolis of Denekamp had 7,737 population. The built-up region of the metropolis became 2.2 km², and contained 2,990 residences. The statistical vicinity "Denekamp", which includes the peripheral components of the village, in addition to the surrounding nation-state, has a population of around eight,690. Dinkelland, and lies about 6 km northwest of Oldenzaal. Weerselo become a separate municipality until 2001, whilst it became part of Denekamp.
