About Tultepec
Tultepec is a city and region situated in State of Mexico, Mexico. It lies legitimately north of Mexico City in the northeastern piece of the State of Mexico, making it part of the Greater Mexico City urban region. The name originates from Nahuatl signifying 'slope of the 'tule'. The registration of 2005 announced a population of 57,586 for the city and 110,145 for the region all in all. The region was first settled by the Chichimecas, trailed by the Otomis in the 17th century.
After the Spanish Conquest, Tultepec was given to the conquistador Alonso Avila alongside the present regions of Zumpango, Xaltocan, Huehuetoca, Coyotepec, Teoloyucan and others, as a major aspect of the Encomienda de Cuautitlan. The cutting edge town of Tultepec started to come to fruition around 1610 in the valley alongside a little height called San Martin. Franciscans came to proselytize the new network, devoting it to the Nativity of Holy Mary and building a sanctuary in 1618. This sanctuary, later a ward, was redesigned somewhere in the range of 1948 and 1955.
