About Namsoong Festival Sikkim

 

Celebrated each year on the meeting point of rivers Teesta and Tholung Chu in Upper Dzongu area of Northern region of Sikkim, NamprikdangNamsoong is a popular cultural festival celebrated to celebrate the beginning of the brand new year of the Lepcha Tribe. The celebrations are more desirable through an outstanding show off of people dances, traditional indigenous games, and local Sikkimese cuisine. The Naprikdang Namsoong competition is prepared for a complete of 15 days every year at the Namprikdang Ground right subsequent to the lovely meeting spot of the of Rivers Teesta and Rangeet.
