Heritage Tezpur 3

Arrive at Guwahati airport. Proceed to Tezpur (170km 5 hours) for overnight midway halt. If time permits, go for a walk on the banks of Brahmaputra River at sunset or visit the old Mahabhairab temple. Evening will be free at leisure.

Norphel Retreat 3

After breakfast, travel to Dirang (190km 7 hours), a beautiful valley on the banks of Kameng River in Arunachal Pradesh. If time permits, visit the old DirangDzong, a historic village of the Monpa tribe built within a 300 year fortress.

Mon Paradise 3

Continue the drive uphill to Tawang (140km 7 hours), the land of 108 holy lakes. On the way, see the snowy Sela pass (4000m), frozen Sela Lake, Jung waterfalls and JaswantGarh war memorial. Arrive by sunset

Full day sightseeing around Tawang, visit the 17th century Tawang monastery, the largest Buddhist monastery in India which has around 400 monks. Next, visit the old BrahmadungAniGompa (nunnery). Also visit Urgyeling monastery, the birthplace of Dalai Lama VI. Later in the afternoon, visit craft centre and emporium to purchase religious items and souvenirs. Evening will be free to explore local market and try ethnic Monpa and Tibetan cuisine.

Day 5 | Tawang - Bumla - Tawang
Day trip towards Bum La pass (60km 3 hours) in the Himalayas to see the Tsongatser, Nagula and PT lakes, enjoy the beautiful landscape of Y Point and visit Taktsang shrine. Return by evening. (Bum La trip is for Indian nationals only, day trip is subjected to weather conditions and permission from Army).

Lungta Residency 3

After breakfast, drive downhill to Bomdila (170km 8 hours) for overnight mid-way halt. On this day, we will be arranging Lunch in a tribal home for authentic local food.

BaruahBhawan 3

Return to Guwahati (290km 8 hours) via Kalaktang. One the way, visit the beautiful Chilipam monastery in Tenga valley, optional. Arrive by evening and rest after a long drive.

After breakfast, transfer to airport for departure.
