One can reach Kullu from Delhi ISBT to reach Kullu. We drive from Kullu to Chansari village which is 12kms from Kullu town. After having breakfast and getting packed lunch, we start the trek towards Bijli Mahadev which is around 3 kms. The trek is uphill and the trail passes through a couple of villages. After about 45 mins of trek one seems to leave behind the villages and the apple orchards. The trek to the top of the hill can be completed in 2-3 hours. From the hill top, one gets a mesmerising view of Kullu valley, Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges and the confluence of rivers Beas and Parvati. The trek from here to Naggar town is 18kms. The trail is mostly downhill. The dense forest of Kais Wildlife makes one feel closer to nature. The trek from Bijli Mahadev to the camp site at Matikochar is a level walk over forested ridge. The stretch is of 5 kms. It takes another 3-4 hours to reach Matikochar.
After having breakfast and getting packed lunch, we start the trek towards Jana Waterfalls. The trail is mostly downhill. It takes approx. 3 to 4 hours to reach here. Jana village is another 20 mins away from here. It is considered the fruit belt of Kullu as the valley is laden with orchards of apples, pomegranate and pears. The trail from here till Nashala village is a shepherd trail. Then we reach Naggar town from where one can either head to Manali or Kullu.
