Day 01: Guwahati- Mawphlang (3 h 6 min / 145.9 km)
Meet & Greet on arrival at the Guwahati airport/Railway Station & proceed to Mawphlag. One of the most remarkable features of the Khasi Hills are the sacred forests, which have been preserved by traditional religious sanction, since the ancient days. One of the most famous sacred forests is the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, about 25 kilometres from Shillong. The sacred grove has an amazing life form of plants, flowering trees, orchids and butterflies. An ideal destination for nature lovers. After arrival check-in into trekker huts. Overnight stay at hut.
Day 02: Trail from Mawphlang - Lad Mawphlang (16 Km)
After breakfast start trekking from Maphlang to Lad Mawphlang, which is called the David Scott trail. It is a part of the horse trail which dates back to the British era. You can make your way through meandering roads, gentle slopes, flat ground and a steep uphill climb before you reach Lad Mawphlang. There is an overnight camp at Lad Mawphlang.
