Today, go on a full-day excursion in Leh. Visit Shey Palace, the 15th century summer palace and the monastery of Leh’s Royal family; the 800 year old Gompa at Thiksey built on a hilltop and modelled on the famous Potala Palace in Lhasa. Later, visit Hemis Monastery hidden in a gorge, the largest and wealthiest Gompa in Ladakh. After that, visit Stok Palace Museum. In the evening, enjoy a panoramic view of Leh town from Shanti Stupa, built by the Japanese. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Full-Day Excursion to Alchi (65 kms / approximately 2-hour drive) Proceed to Alchi, situated on the banks of Indus River, for a full-day excursion. The monastery of Alchi is famous for its 1,000 years old wall paintings put in a dark room than can be seen with torch light. En route, visit Likir Monestery, famous for its giant statue of Maitreya Buddha and its numerous old Thankhas. Enjoy a photo stop at the sangam or confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers. Return to Leh in the evening. Spend the night at the hotel.

Off to Nubra Valley (120 kms / approximately 4-hour drive) After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (the highest motorable road in the world at a height of 18,380 feet). Arrive at Deskit by the afternoon. During the rest of the day, explore Deskit, Hunder villages, and do camel safari in sand dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village. Spend the night at the camp/hotel.

Off to Leh (120 kms / approximately 4-hour drive) After breakfast, visit Deskit Monastery and drive back to Leh by the same Route, crossing Khardungla Pass. You have the rest of the day to yourself. Spend the night at the hotel.
