The temple holds significance because, according to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva and Parvati were married at the confluence of River Gomati and Garur Ganga, lunch at a good restaurant in the city. PM : Visit Anasakti Ashram, It was here that Mahatma Gandhi spent a few days of his life and has been converted into a memorial.
