About Baccus Marsh
Bacchus Marsh is a urban center and rural area in Victoria, Australia found around 50 kilometers north west of the state capital Melbourne and 14 kilometers west of Melton at a close equidistance to the significant urban areas of Melbourne, Ballarat and Geelong. The number of inhabitants in the Bacchus Marsh urban region was 20,992 at June 2016. Bacchus Marsh is the biggest urban zone in the neighborhood government territory of Shire of Moorabool.
Customarily a market plant region, creating a lot of the district's leafy foods in ongoing decades it has changed into the fundamental worker town on the Melbourne-Ballarat corridor. It was named after one of its unique occupants, Captain William Henry Bacchus, who saw the incredible estimation of this region as it was arranged on two streams — the Lerderderg and Werribee.
It covers a huge zone in the Werribee Valley with its Central Business District centered along Main Street between Bennett Street toward the north, Grant Street/Gisborne Road toward the west, Young/Lord Streets toward the east and Waddell/Simpson Streets toward the south. Bacchus Marsh Village strip mall is its fundamental indoor shopping center. One of its foremost entertainment regions is Maddingley Park, or, in other words excursion goal for the two local people and guests. Close to the south entryways of the recreation center, inverse the Bacchus Marsh railroad station, is the Nieuwesteeg Heritage Rose Garden of for the most part 20th century half breed teas.
