Fraser Island

Fraser Island is one of the world’s largest sand island in the world. There is lot to see in Fraser Island and a lot more to do as well. The island, bordered by Pacific Ocean on one side and by 40 foot cliffs on the other, is perfect for both trekking and water sports. You can swim in the forty freshwater dune surrounded lakes, take a hike in the giant rain forest, or go bird watching for 350 around species of birds. However the best attraction of the island is the drive in your jeep along the75 mile long sandy beach, which is dubbed as the world’s most beautiful highway. The best time to visit Fraser Island is in August when a cruise is organized in the deep blue sea that is filled with migrating whales en route to Antarctica further south.
