Buochs

Buochs is a municipality within the canton of Nidwalden in Switzerland. Buochs is first stated in 1124 as Boches. In 1184, it was cited as Buoches, then in 1210 as Buches, and in 1229 as Buchs. Buochs has an area, of 9.96 km2. Of this region, about 46.8 per cent is used for agricultural purposes, at the same time as 33.5 in line with cent is forested. Of the rest of the land, 18.0 consistent with cent is settled and 1.7 according to cent is unproductive land.

In the 2004/09 survey a total of ninety six ha or approximately 9.7 according to cent of the total area became blanketed with buildings, an boom of 32 ha over the 1981 quantity.
