Polonnaruwa

Polonnaruwa is the main town of Polonnaruwa District in North Central Province, Sri Lanka. Kaduruwela zone is the Polonnaruwa New Town and the other bit of Polonnaruwa remains as the renowned old-fashioned city of the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa. The second most old of Sri Lanka's kingdoms, Polonnaruwa was first d the capital city by King Vijayabahu I, who pounded Chola trespassers in 1070 to rejoin the country again under an area pioneer.
