Zhigulyovsk

Zhigulyovsk is a town in Samara Oblast, Russia, situated on the correct bank of the Volga River in the Samara Bend close to the Zhiguli Mountains, 92 kilometers west of Samara. The name Zhigulyovsk is taken from the Zhiguli Mountains, yet they are named for a before settlement of Zhigulyovka, itself likely named for an early occupant. The town involves the domains of previous towns of Otvazhnoye and Morkvashi. The work settlement of Otvazhny was worked here to build up the oil stores.

In 1949, it was converged with the towns and renamed Zhigulyovsk. It was allowed town status in 1952. Inside the system of authoritative divisions, it is, as one with five provincial territories, consolidated as the town of oblast noteworthiness of Zhigulyovsk—a managerial unit with the status equivalent to that of the districts. As a metropolitan division, the town of oblast centrality of Zhigulyovsk is fused as Zhigulyovsk Urban Okrug. Other than oil, the town likewise creates limestone stores.
