Valcea

Valcea is a county of Romania. Located within the ancient areas of Oltenia and Muntenia, it is also a part of the wider Wallachia region. Its capital city is Ramnicu Valcea. Historically, the county was positioned inside the southwestern part of Greater Romania, inside the northeast a part of the ancient region of Oltenia. Its capital changed into Râmnicu Vâlcea.
