Tepatitlan

Tepatitlan de Morelos is a metropolis and municipality placed within the High South Region in the kingdom of Jalisco. It limits the north with the municipalities of Yahualica de Gonzalez Gallo and Valle de Guadalupe; to the south with Tototlan and Atotonilco el Alto; to the east with San Miguel el Alto and San Ignacio Cerro Gordo; and to the west with Acatic, Cuquio and Zapotlanejo. It is a part of the Bajio macro region. Specifically from the Bajio Occidente.

Tepatitlan de Morelos has proposed to the congress of the State of Jalisco to form the Metropolitan Area of Tepatitlan de Morelos, which, together with Arandas, San Ignacio Cerro Gordo and San Miguel el Alto, have a population of 288,635 inhabitants, which might make it the third area the maximum populated metropolitan state and the 44th within the country. The important financial activity of Tepatitlan is farm animals and poultry farming, that is manifested both by the extent and the cost of production. This municipality is characterized in satisfactory inside the following merchandise: cow's milk, chook egg, pork meat, chook meat and beef.
