Dzan

Dzan Municipality is one of the 106 municipalities in the Mexican state of Yucatán containing of land and is positioned roughly 95 km south of the metropolis of Merida. There is no accurate statistics on while the town become based, although it existed before the conquest. At colonization, Dzan have become a part of the encomienda system. The area encompassing Dzan and Muna Municipality have been joined at the time of encomienda. The first encomendero turned into Castilla in 1549 and it then surpassed to Alonso Rosado and Diego Rosado. By 1607 the encomendero changed into Pedro Rosado.

Yucatan d its independence from the Spanish Crown in 1821, and in 1825 the place turned into assigned to the high sierra partition of Ticul Municipality. In 1932 it turned into targeted as its very own municipality. The municipal president is elected for a 3-12 months time period.
