Welcome on arrival at the Airport & transfer to a Hotel in Negombo overnight in Negombo. *Negombo: A characteristic fishing town 35 km north of Colombo, it is a mere 10 km from the International airport. Set amid lush groves of coconut palms, it breathes the spirit of the sea. Negombo is a gourmet’s paradise with seafood in plenty. Old World fishing craft like the outrigger canoe and the catamaran bring seer, skipjack, herring and mullet, pomfret and amber jack while lobster and prawns are caught in the lagoon.

After breakfast at 0800 hours proceed to Hikkaduwa. On the way visit a turtle hatchery & do a city tour of Galle overnight Hikkaduwa. *Turtle Hatchery: Watch and learn how the locals help conserve the sea Turtles by visiting a turtle hatchery and watch how 3 day old turtle are released in to the sea after they are born in protective custody of the hatcheries. This is a project undertaken by locals to protect the sea turtles from extinction

After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya overnight in Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast do a city tour of Nuwara Eliya including a tea factory & a tea plantation. There after proceed to Kandy. Arrive in Kandy & check in to a hotel. In the afternoon city tour of Kandy including a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic. In the evening witness a cultural dance show overnight in Kandy. *Tooth Temple: Located in Kandy, long a center of the Buddhist faith, the stunning 17th century Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) is believed to house the left upper canine tooth of the Lord Buddha himself. This precious relic attracts white clad pilgrims, bearing lotus blossoms and frangipani, every day. *Cultural Show: This is the famous Kandy cultural program. This is one of the famous destinations in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It starts in the evening and runs for more than 1 hr. The skill of the traditional musicians of Kandy, their drums and dance is very entertaining. There are different types of dances like the snake dance and then there is a fire show where the artists is eating and rubbing fire on their body. After the show the people visit the Temple of the Tooth of Buddha which is nearby.

After breakfast go on an excursion to the elephant orphanage at Pinnawala. In the afternoon visit the botanical gardens at Peradeniya overnight in Kandy. *Pinnawala: This orphanage is probably one of its’ kind and provides shelter to many elephants of all ages, found either abandoned as infants by their herds, or those found wounded in the jungles. The morning and afternoon feeding hours are the best times to visit the orphanage, followed by their two hour long bath in the river across the road from the orphanage. * Peradeniya: Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya is situated in the outskirts of Kandy. Established in 1816, Peradeniya Botanical Gardens spans over 147 acres. Flanked by the Mahaweli River, these gardens house all the usual features such as an orchid house, a spice garden etc. But what makes them special is the beautiful and serene layout, and the fine specimens of mature plants and trees which are also home to incredible colonies of flying foxes.

After breakfast leave for Sigiriya, en-route visiting a spice garden at Matale & the Dambulla Cave/Rock Temple. In the evening climb the Sigiriya Rock overnight in Sigiriya. *Spice Gardens: On your way to Kandy in a suburban township called Matale, you will have the chance to visit spice plantations that grow a variety of spices such as cinnamon, pepper, and nutmeg, for which Sri Lanka was renowned and initially colonized by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. *Dambulla: Dambulla rock temple is a magnificent gallery of Buddha images and wall and ceiling paintings not seen anywhere else in the Island. It is a complex of five cave temples with its origin going back to the first 01st century BC. *Sigiriya: Climb the amazing rock of Sigiriya with its impregnable palace fortress built in the fifth century and enjoy the breathtaking views over the once magnificent royal pool, the throne, remains of the majestic palace, walk ways and garden. Sigiriya is a sixth century fortress perched on a 200 meter high rock and the most dramatic of Sri Lanka’s historic sites
