Welcome to Auckland!!! Once you arrive at the Auckland International Airport where you are met by the hotel representative, transfer to your hotel. After your Check-In, retire to your room and spend the rest of the day at leisure to explore the vibrant city on your own or we could provide you with a list of tours and activities for you to choose form.
After breakfast full day tour of Auckland & its surrounding areas. Travel through the city centre, along Karangahape Road with its chequered past and eclectic vibe, past fashionable Ponsonby and over the Auckland Harbour Bridge, enjoying views of the Hauraki Gulf and city skyline. Visit the Viaduct Harbour and Auckland's famous Queen Street before continuing to the Auckland Domain. Our tour will then take you along the scenic waterfront route of Tamaki Drive to Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park, above Mission Bay.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy Wine on Waiheke Tour a deluxe vineyard tour combining world class wine set against the backdrop of stunning Waiheke Island - barely 12 km from Auckland this is the most populated of the Gulf Islands. Cafes line the streets of the main settlement and the Island is gaining a reputation for its wine industry. After a ferry trip from Auckland downtown wharf, travel by luxury coach to enjoy premium tastings at three of Waihekes finest vineyards. Then further explore Waiheke Island with an All Day Bus Pass, before taking the evening ferry back to Auckland.
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel and transfer to Rotorua. Depart the City of Sails and travel south along the motorway and over the Bombay Hills to the lush, green, dairy farming province of the Waikato. Enroute visit the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. The attractions include a guided tour and boat ride through the famed and mystical Waitomo Glow worm Caves. Arrive at the Thermal City of Rotorua. Check into the hotel.
After breakfast this morning, visit the Te Puia Thermal Reserve to see the boiling mud pools and roaring geysers. Following this visit the Rainbow Springs to see New Zealands trout, birds and wildlife before continuing to the Agrodome for a New Zealand farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to the stars of our sheep industries.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to the Airport to board your flight to Queenstown. Welcome to Queenstown !! After being met and received at the airport by our local representative, transfer and check into the hotel. Rest on the day is free at leisure to explore this exciting and breathtaking city.
Breakfast at the hotel. Take a full day Milford Sound Excursion. Travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau, gateway to the Fiordland National Park. View the Mirror Lakes as you continue through the Eglinton Valley. From the Homer Tunnel emerge into the Cleddau Valley. Join your Milford Sound Red Boat cruise, for an unforgettable experience, and explore the wonder of this majestic fiord. Journey to the mouth of the sound and see the seals and dolphins, which inhabit this part of the world.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today is at leisure. Take an optional tour the Lord of the Rings film location. Explore the spectacular backdrops used in the Lord of the Rings and soak in the fabulous panoramas over Queenstown's lakes and mountains. Marvel at the golden, tussock-brown, orange and green vistas of summer and the sparkling white and azure blues of winter. Hand-feed and photograph the Red Deer, Bison, Llama and other exotic animal species and learn the local Maori legend and history of the gold rush. Alternatively enjoy various adventure activities available in Queenstown such as bungee jumping, jet boating, rafting etc.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy a tour to Walter Peak High Country Farm- the lakeside site of the original homestead. Located on the western shore of Lake Wakatipu, Walter Peak is 8 miles from Queenstown. Join a scenic cruise to Walter Peak onboard the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw. Take a walking tour of this working farm, viewing the livestock including sheep, highland cattle, deer and goats. Your hosts will work the sheep dogs and explain high country mustering practices, and also provide a demonstration on the art of sheep shearing.
After breakfast you will travel via Haast Pass to the stunning iced Franz Josef Glacier. Arrive in Franz Josef late afternoon and check in at your hotel. Enjoy this day at leisure to explore these snow covered glaciers and the many activities it has on offer such as Skiing, Snow Boarding, Snow mobiles and many more.
After breakfast proceed to Grey mouth today and board the Tranz Alpine train. Ascend through lush beech forests past the alpine village of Arthurs Pass before crossing the spectacular Southern Alps. Travel over Canterbury Plains to Christchurch. On arrival transfer to your hotel.
After breakfast visit central city highlights, including Cathedral Square, Victoria Square, Thomas Edmonds former band rotunda and the Avon River, Town Hall, the floral clock, Law Courts, Provincial Chambers, Christ's College, Museum, Botanical Gardens, Arts Centre, Worcester Boulevard, and the Bridge of Remembrance. On leaving the inner city, the tour includes several parks and gardens including Mona Vale Gardens and Hagley Park. Visit Riccarton House, Riccarton Bush, and the University of Canterbury. We then travel to the Sign of the Takahe, an historic building providing spectacular views over the city, Canterbury Plains and to the Southern Alps.
