After breakfast, get set for the wonderful full-day city tour of Bhopal. Visit Taj-ul-Masajid - the largest Mosque in India. Enroute, visit the Shaukat Mahal and Sadar Manzil building, which displays Asian and Western styles of architecture and Gohar Mahal. Also, visit Van Vihar National Park, an open Zoo; Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum (Museum closed on Monday), Birla Mandir, a stopover at Bharat Bhavan, a multi-arts center without parallel in India, was designed by one of India’s leading architects - Charles Correa. Return to the hotel in the evening, and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, head towards your next destination, Bhimbetka - A World Heritage Site, located near Bhopal, just along with the Satpura range of mountains. It has around 600 rock shelters which house many pre-historic paintings. The area which surrounds these caves, adds to their beauty as there is greenery all around. The place allures people from all over the world as it presents the earliest traces of human life in the Indian subcontinent, and show a glimpse into the beginning of the South Asian during the Stone Age. Some of the stone age rock paintings found among the Bhimbetka rock shelters are roughly 30,000 years old. En-route, visit Bhojpur- a small village which located on the banks of river Betwas well-known for Shiva Temple and for Cyclopean dam which dates back to 1010-53 A.D. The temple at Bhojpur was left unfinished but is unique as it is one of the largest lingas in India and it’s crafted out a single rock. Enjoy sightseeing around the place and visit attractions like Bhojeshwar Temple and Jain Shrine. Jain Shrine is a major attraction as it has two figures of Parsvanath and a colossal statue of Mahavira which is 20 feet high. In the evening, head back to Bhopal. Overnight stay at the hotel.
