Perth

Perth is a town in Eastern Ontario, Canada. It is situated on the Tay River and is the seat of Lanark County.The town was built up as a military settlement in 1816, not long after the War of 1812. The settlement of Lanark County started in 1815. In that year "the Settlement framing on the Rideau River" as it was authoritatively alluded to and which soon wound up known as "Perth Military Settlement" worked under Military course. A few townships were overviewed to encourage the area of homesteads for military and different pilgrims; and the site without bounds Town of Perth, which had been picked as the central station of the Military Establishment was studied in 1816.
