About Hudson
Hudson is a town in the region of Vaudreuil, territory of Quebec, Canada, around 60 kilometers west of Montreal. It sits on the southern shore of the Lake of Two Mountains, close to the conversion of the Ottawa and St. Lawrence Rivers. Albeit now a simple 45-minute thruway drive from Montreal, it was at one time a secluded town of mostly Scottish and English ranchers, and quickly a lakeside house escape.
Quite a bit of its past can at present be seen today, with huge, turn-of-the-century homes, lovely lakeside sees, tree-lined lanes and the English-motivated design of the town focus. These highlights make it a well known daytrip for Montrealers, especially in the mid year.
