Dalton is a city in Whitfield County WC, Georgia, USA. It is the region seat of Whitfield County and the important city of the Dalton, Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area, which envelops all of Murray and Whitfield areas. It is found simply off Interstate seventeen five in the lower regions of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northwest Georgia and is the second biggest city in northwest Georgia NG, after Rome.
