Darlos

Darlos, previously Darlos is the village of the commune with the same call in Sibiu County, Transylvania, Romania. The locality is positioned 4 km from Medias, at the proper bank of the river Tarnava Mare. Mentioned for the primary time in writing in 1317 as Possesio Darlaz, the city has existed for the reason that 3rd century BC.

In the primary half of of the 15th century, the church-corridor became raised. The Evangelical-Lutheran Church, a beautiful past due-overdue Gothic structur, with a single ship and a choir with two traverses supported by using counter-hands, was constructed within the Gothic style and is with out a tower. Inside the choir, 1975 were painted in decorative tapes and the figures of two saints painted at the start of the 16th century. Remarkable are the frames of the windows, the wealthy lace and the fragments of the mural portray on the facades of the choir: scenes from the sufferings of Jesus and St. Christopher, of huge dimensions.
