Calnic

Calnic is a commune in Alba County, Romania, composed of villages, Calnic and Deal . Calnic village is known for its fortress, which is on UNESCO's listing of World Heritage Sites. Câlnic Citadel, first noted in 1269, is very properly preserved. Built as a noble's residence, it become sold in 1430 by nearby peasants and fortified.
