Catazaja

Catazaja is a Mexican municipality that is placed to the north of the Mexican state of Chiapas; its head is the city of Catazaja. The municipality is located in the Coastal Plain of the Gulf, being uniformly flat terrain. It limits to the north east and west with Tabasco and to the south with Palenque. Catazaja is a Mayan word that comes from Kaa: valley, tasal: lying or covered and ja: water, for what it method Valley blanketed with water.
