Nabadwip

Nabadwip is a city under Municipal administration in the Nadia District in West Bengal, India. It is situated on the western bank of the Bhagirathi stream. The Bhagirathi waterway initially streamed down the west of Nabadwip previously, shaping a characteristic limit between the regions of Bardhaman and Nadia. With time it has moved its course to where it is at present, cutting the city off from whatever is left of the Nadia area. It is considered to have been established in 1063 AD, which filled in as the old capital of the Sena administration.
