Amguri

Amguri is a town and city territory board of trustees in the Sivasagar area in the province of Assam, India. It has a normal rise of 74 meters 242 feet. It is arranged on the bank of the waterway Jhanji and popular for its tea gardens and oil fields. There are numerous clubs and associations for co-curricular exercises. Puberun is one of the social association inside Amguri. Another association, Mahabahu, is supported by the Government of India's Sports and Youth Affairs. There is an Amguri Sports Association and a social association called Maruwari Yuba Manch. The famous instructive establishments in Amguri are Auniati Hemchandradev Higher Secondary School, recognized global researcher Dr. Khirud Gogoi is a graduate of this school; Amguri Girls High School, and Amguri College.

Amguri has a few private and government schools, those are Don Bosco High School, Jnan Bikash VidyaPith, Rameshwar Dutta High School, Pengera Girls High School, Janata High School, the Arunodoi Academy and Lachit M.E.school, one of the upper grade school situated in Halowa gaon . There is a lesser school for expressions and science stream. Rameswar Dutta High School is the pioneer English medium school in Amguri set up in 1981. Late Nobin Chandra Dutta started the organization in the memory of his dad Lt Rameswar Dutta. Dr. Bindu Pritam Dutta is the present Principal I/c of the foundation. The School is arranged amidst normally excellent condition at ward no.7, Amguri Town with a carefully improved grounds.
