Rennes

Rennes is a town inside the east of Brittany in northwestern France at the confluence of the Ille and the Vilaine. Rennes is the capital of the region of Brittany, in addition to the Ille-et-Vilaine department.Rennes's history goes lower back more than 2,000 years, at a time while it become a small Gallic village named Condate. Together with Vannes and Nantes, it was one of the primary cities of the ancient Duchy of Brittany. From the early 16th century until the French Revolution, Rennes became a parliamentary, administrative and garrison town of the historic province of Brittany of the Kingdom of France.

Since the 50s, Rennes has grown in importance through rural flight and its cutting-edge commercial development, in part automobile. The city advanced sizeable building plans to accommodate upwards of 200,000 population. During the 1980s, Rennes have become one of the main centres in telecommunication and excessive generation industry. It is now a great digital innovation centre in France. Rennes is known to be one of the most festive cities of France. It invests closely in arts and culture and some of its fairs consisting of the song festival Les Transmusicales, Les Tombées de los angeles Nuit, Mythos.
