About Vermont Quilt Festival

Vermont Quilt Festival is a yearly occasion, which is both the most established and biggest sewing occasion in the district. Including a few days of stitch displays, challenge quilts, classes educated by prestigious quiltmakers, a champagne see, sellers, addresses and evaluations, the celebration is very much gone to by both tenderfoot and master quilters alike. In 1977, the Festival began as a one-day indicate including both collectible and new sews. The next year challenge quilts were included and by 1981 the Festival included classes and furthermore examinations of old fashioned bedcovers. 
Originally held in Northfield, Vermont, the yearly occasion occurred on the Norwich University grounds until 2006. The Festival moved its scene to the Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction, Vermont with classes held at the neighboring Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont where it keeps on being held every year on the most recent end of the week in June. The Festival opens with a happy Champagne and Chocolate Preview every year which has been gone to by the Governor of Vermont. 
Yankee Magazine, Quilter's Newsletter Magazine, Vermont Life, The New York Times, Boston Globe, USA Today and Quilt Mania and also neighborhood media are only a portion of the distributions that have secured the occasion. It is reliably assigned as a Top Ten Summer occasion by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, and as one of the Top 100 Events by The American Bus Association.
