Your safari will start at exactly 06:30 am in morning after your heavy breakfast. You will be transferred to Murchison Falls National park, located in the northwest of Kampala. But along the way, you will visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary situated in Nakasongola district near Nakitoma village along Gulu – Kampala Highway. This sanctuary is home to wild endangered rhinos and it covers approximately 7,000ha. Here, you will have an opportunity to track rhinos on foot; and this is a great and exciting activity as it involves you watching them at a close and safer distance of about 6 to 7m with the guidance of a skilled ranger guide. After tracking you will have lunch there and then continue to Murchison Falls National Park, check-in your lodge, relax, dine and have an overnight stay.

At precisely 18:30 after having your early morning breakfast, you will be ready for a game drive to catch a glance of the early risers and nocturnal animals going back to their hideouts. Following Victoria Nile and Buligi tracks through open savannah grassland, you will appreciate the rich diversity of wildlife in the Park-embowered in various eco-systems. Wild games to encounter will include; elephants, buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribi, reedbuck, hyenas among others, and exclusive species like elusive shoebill stork, yellow fronted tinker birds, goliath heron, malachite, kingfisher, etc. After lunch, you will go for a delta boat cruise launching from Paraa and sails down gently on the flowing Nile waters meeting numerous floating papyrus islands, it’s here, the Albert Nile, that you can observe the pre-historic shoebill stork and hippos. This cruise is terrific and always referred to as sundowner, the evening makes it romantic as you can imagine. You can get caught up in the moment with nature’s greatness while watching the dusk falling; it will be an opportune time to capture memorable pictures. Retreat, dine and have an overnight stay.

After your morning breakfast at 06:30 am, you will be driven into Kaniyo Pabidi Forest one of the best places for doing chimpanzee trekking, it’s also the largest mahogany forest in East Africa. This forest is a habitat to over 360 birds, 450 tree species, 24 mammals species, 130 moth species, and over 250 butterfly species. Apart from chimpanzees, you will also come across other primates like olive baboon, white and black columbs monkey, potto, red-tailed monkey and blue monkey, the rarely seen pangolin, giant forest squirrels among others. You will stand also great chances to sight out different types of birds like the yellow-footed flycatcher and Puvel’s lladopsis that exists nowhere in East Africa among other species. Retreat, and go for an afternoon boat cruise that will last for 2 hours. This also launches from Paraa dock and sails downstream towards the falls. The boat sails through huge numbers of hippo schools floating on water, herds of elephants, oribis dotted along the riverbank, flocks of warthogs, crocodiles, and beautiful water birds. You will enjoy the clear view to take photo shots of animals along the Nile. Reaching the bottom -it’s dramatic with rugged rocks and beautiful bird species. Get off the boat and embark on a hike to the top of falls where you will have the best time to watch forest birds, enjoy the spectacle of the Nile and the landscape of the Park, and feel the cool water droplets falling on your face. Again here, you will be exposed to Mother Nature’s wondrous gorge, also known as the Devil’s cauldron- this is the most invigorating view in Murchison Park.

After your early morning breakfast at 06:30 am, you will be transferred back to Kampala via Buliisa. This is a longer route but more scenic as it passes through Budongo forest before reaching a memorable descent of the rift valley escarpment with views across the Lake Albert towards the Blue Mountains of DRC. You will have a great time to view the alluring physiographical features here, take photoshoots and thereafter, Have lunch, and then drive back drive to Entebbe International Airport
