Welcome & assist by Helanka Vacations. Our driver will pick up you at the airport and transfer to Kandy. En- route visit Elephant orphanage Pinnawala. The orphanage was created to protect abandoned and orphaned elephants. It has now grown into a popular elephant attraction in the country and with good reason, for no where else except at Pageants (processions) are you likely to see so many elephants at close quarters. The elephants are controlled by their mahouts (keepers) who ensure they are fed at the right times and don’t endanger anyone but otherwise the elephants roam freely around the sanctuary area. There are many elephants in residence from babies to young adults. Among the attractions, you will be able to witness elephants being lead to a nearby river for bathing. You could also see the feeding of the baby elephants which is the highlight of the visit.

After breakfast transfer to Dambulla and visit Dambulla Caves. In the evening visit Dambulla Caves. Visit the impressive Dambulla Rock Cave Temple en-route which sits 100m to 150m above the road. The hike up to the temples begins along a vast, sloping rock face with steps in some places. The caves’ as a place of worship is thought to date from around the 1st century BC. There are five separate caves of which the interiors are carved into magnificent rock temples containing about 150 images of the Buddha. The interiors are also gilded, earning the place the name “Ran Giri” (Golden Rock).

After breakfast climb the Sigiriya rock. Climb the 180-meter rock which was a royal citadel for nearly 20 years. This great exiting site is nearly one hectare in extent. The rock fortress was built by King Kashyapa who killed his father to gain his wealth. This wonderful fortress is a masterpiece of artistry. Sigiriya has been made famous throughout the world for the frescoes on its rock wall and advanced water system. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After breakfast transfer to Bentota / Beruwala You have the entire day to chill out at the beach and soak up the Sun. Enjoy the rest of the day by the sea. Overnight stay at hotel in Bentota / Beruwala.

After breakfast transfer to do the Balapitiya and do the Madu river safa Madu River or the Madu Ganga is one of the natures fascinating creations off South West coast in Balapitiya. Madu Ganga is a lagoon with hundreds of islands providing an idyllic setting for a well spent holiday and loads of authentic traditional settings. It may be one of the last remaining tracts of pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka.

After breakfast transfer to Colombo and do the city tour with shopping. A drive through the city will take you to Fort and Pettah – the commercial area of the city and tree-lined Colombo 7 – Cinnamon Gardens. Colombo 3, 4, 5 & 8 are the prime residential areas of the City. The Hindu Temple at Sea Street – lined with goldsmith shops, the Dutch Church at Wolfendhal dating back to 1749, the historic Devatagaha Mosque, Independence Square, BMICH, Gangaramaya Temple and Colombo Museum are some of the attractions in Colombo.Proceed with a shopping tour at Odel, Laksala Crafts center, Barefoot. Sri Lanka is renowned for ‘Ceylon Tea’, ‘Ceylon Cinnamon’, spices, precious and semi-precious gems and jewelry in Silver, gold and white gold.
