Day 1: Arrival At Port Blair, Half Day Sight Seeing
Arrival at Port Blair Airport & move to the hotel with our envoy. After lunch start the breathtaking trip to Carbyns Cove Beach, one of the most picturesque, coconut palm fringed beach, 7 kms away from Port Blair town, and to the Cellular Jail, a place of pilgrimage for all freedom loving people. One can also view the history of the heroic freedom struggle which is brought alive in a moving Light & Sound Show at the Cellular Jail.
The first place to visit is ross island, the erstwhile capital of Port Blair during the British regime, it now stands as an imposing relic , with the structures almost in debris. A small museum display the photographs & other antiques of the Britishers, relevant to this island. Chidiyatapu which is a bird watching paradise & also houses a biological park. It is also a sunset point.
Early morning we will proceed for Havelock island. Radhanagar beach, the times Magazine rated it as the finest beach in Asia. It is an ideal place for swimming, sea bathing & basking in the sun-kissed beaches, overnight stay at Havelock island.
Entire Morning at leisure. After checking out from the Resort by 1000 hrs, leave your baggage at the Reception of the Resort and proceed to Kala Pathar by road. Get a glimpse of various Resorts & Dive centers enroute. Return back to your resort for lunch. Sail for Port Blair in the evening. Upon return from Havelock Island overnight stay at respective Hotel at Port Blair.
Early morning we proceed to Baratang island, the journey through the baratang creek is a refreshing experience.As the speed boat knifes its way through the waters of the baratang creek, the sights of tiny islands & endless stretches of massive, primordial tropical forests & mangrove vegetation provides a soothing effect to the eyes. Limestone cave is a sight to behold! Massive limestone formations dangle from the ceiling like chadeliers, glow from the sides & sprout from the ground like short pilasters. The serrated edges of the limestone blocks shine in the dark. There is a narrow walkway inside with constant dripping of minute water drops from the ceiling. Back to Port Blair & overnight stay at Port Blair.
City tour it includes: Fisheries Museum (Aquarium) - exhibits species of marine life peculiar to the islands, Anthropological Museum - displays tribal essential and artefacts’, Chatham saw mill – it is one of the largest & oldest mill in Asia.
