Tiangua

Tiangua is a municipality inside the nation of Ceara within the Northeast location of Brazil. The Northeast Region of Brazil is one of the 5 official and political areas of the U.S. In line with the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. For the socio-geographic location see Nordeste. The municipality carries part of the 1,592,550 hectares Serra da Ibiapaba Environmental Protection Area, created in 1996. The Serra da Ibiapaba Environmental Protection Area is an environmental protection region inside the states of Piaui and Ceara, Brazil.

It consists of fragments of cerrado, caatinga and Atlantic Forest, and is home to the endangered crimson-exceeded howler. The Serra da Ibiapaba Environmental Protection Area was created by using federal decree on 26 November 1996 within the bioregion of the Serra Grande complex with the objective of guaranteeing conservation of renmants of cerrado, caatinga and Atlantic Forest in a total vicinity of approximately 1,592,550 hectares. It aims to assure conservation of remnants of Cerrado and Caatinga in around the Sete Cidades National Park, and also the seasonal woodland, open rainforest and transitional forests.
