Munnar, the natural spa of Kerala is located at 1600 m above sea level. The beautiful mist and tree plants laden hills give it a picture postcard look. There are many places to visit within 20 km of Munnar. Tourists have a lifetime experience by looking at scenic beauty and enjoy waterfalls, trekking trails and innumerable lakes and dams. Munnar is heaven for botanists as there are many exotic and rare plants and flower are available here. There is a place called Top Station in Munnar where a flower Nilkurinji blooms once in 12 years. Malampuzha is nestled in Palakkad district. The beautiful hill station is considered as excellent family holiday destination as the hill station can entertain people from every age group. Malampuzha has entertaining amusement parks, fish-shaped aquarium, rock garden, ropeway etc. Rock garden of Malampuzha too is created by Padmasree Nek Chand Saini, the man behind the famous rock garden of Chandigarh.

Very near to Munnar, this hill destination is nature lovers' heaven for its radiant lake, beautiful grass land and spectacular tea gardens. One should never forget to visit the world famous cattle shed of Mattupetty. There are more than 100 ieties of cattle here. Some of the common activities that tourists do here are boating in the lake and trekking in the green grass land.
