Asan

Asan is a town in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea. It borders the Seoul Metropolitan Area to the north. Asan has a population of approximately 300,000. Asan is known for its many warm springs and is a town of spas. Asan has grown into the neighboring village, Onyang dong, which is also regarded for its hot springs. The town of Asan shares a station for the KTX excessive speed trains with the neighboring town of Cheonan referred to as Cheonan Asan Station.
