The jaunty hotel places me in a tolerable aura from the moment I wander into its lobby, splotched with light from gigantic shaded windows. Chirpy staff are welcoming and steady. Tourists mess the bistro, and gatherings of ladies wearing pink headscarves twitter in the lift.
