Excellent overall.
Land services: excellent. All the drivers were very good and ready to cope with my requests. Cars were Ok, and all segments of the itinerary were correctly satisfied. Hotels: very good. All the hotels in the itinerary, with one exception, provided good price-quality relationship. The hotels in the south of India were specially good, specifically the one at Tanjore. The only exception was the hotel at Konark, well below the other hotels, and clearly not up to the task. I am still waiting for the towels for my room, and we have to wait half an hour at 2300 in the night for the manager to show up. Incredible!
Anyway, very good hotels.
Flights: I have to suffer more delays than expected, in all 3,5 hours for 7 flights. This is of course no fault of Ecowin. They might have been warned me that this could happen, though. The trip covered all my objectives in spite of these delays, but one of them (2 hours in the flight from Delhi to Patna) could have impeded me of seeing Nalanda, which would have supposed a big flop for me.
Ecowin reacted well on the issue of the delayed flight between Gaya and Delhi (that would have made me loss the connecting flight to Bhubaneswar), but I would have thanked them to be more proactive in the issue: it was me to have to notice the change, phone them and suggest the solution.
One more issue: Ecowin did not provide me info about WL for Nalgiri toy train in spite of my continuous request. I had a confirmed booking in second class for Ooty-Coonor, and was in waiting list for the the whole trip (Met-Ooty). As a consequence, I wanted to know how the WL was evolving, to decide were to sleep (Ooty or Met, the other end of the line). No info was provided, though.
Anyway, i must say that their proposal for the toy train (Second class Ooty-Cooner with confirmed seat by the window) was better than a First Class from Mettupalayam in the center of the seat. So, my complain is on the lack of info, not on the trip.
It has been a wonderful trip, at a very reasonable price, and I am sure that if I come back to India, i will try to make my trip with them again.

Ecowin was the tour operator for our Chrdham pilgrimage. Sameer and Staff delivered an excellent service at a reasonable host. The group had members from Sri Lanka , Australia, the USA and the UK and all were satisfied with the arrangements and services provided. The Bodgaya tour is the memorable trip in my life. I was very delighted about your services with a new car and your professional staffs , I will miss all of you so much. Moreover, I want to say "Thank you" to my friend, my "Guru": Prahalad Singh and a car driver . They are very nice and with them I felt so familiar. Although I had only one day for my trip but I discovered the life of Indian people through clothes, traditional foods (Sweet cakes), milk tea and the beauty and the mystery of Bodgaya. How can I say thank you to all of you, I hope I can go back India and enjoy more tours .

Hello from Virginia. We arrived safe and sound and on time and have spent the week recovering from jet lag. All of us want to thank you for organizing and conducting an exciting trip. You were exactly what the many former clients of Ecowin talked about ? gracious, patient, caring and generous, wanting most of all for your guests to have an enjoyable trip. Dani and Andrew were superb traveling companions who brimmed with excitement at seeing all this for the first time. Through them, we saw India vicariously. They remained positive throughout, refusing to give in to the expected and understandable tourist fatigue. I think the trip will have an indelible impact on them. As for us two old fogies, who were returning in part to ground already traversed, we were humbled yet again by this resilient nation. His communications via email and phone were timely and responsive prior to the trip. Flights and other bookings in India were done as promised and accurate when we arrived here. He was always available by phone, and overall service was comparable to US standards very different from other Tour companies I contacted in India. Ecowin was an excellent provider of services for a reasonable price. Great attention was given to the details of the trip. The car was fine, relatively new and driver not only a competent driver but very willing to assist in whatever way possible to ensure I had a good trip. In terms of the situation and circumstances on the route that I followed, i.e., N. Delhi, Varanasi and Agra via Kanpur, there needs to be a serious and major effort to improve the infrastructure and sanitation/cleanliness along the roads and in the cities.

Yes, I would highly recommend Ecowin Tours , particularly Sameer. He helped me out in many ways when I recently attended the Dalai Lama's Kalachakra Initiation in Bodhgaya, India. Almost 400,000 people attended the event in a town that is ordinarily about 10,000 population, so you can imagine that hotel space, train tickets, EVERYTHING was in short supply. I had nothing but good experience with Sameer. if you decided to go with Ecowin Tours, you are no doubt in good hands. The experience with Ecowin had been one of the bright spots of my trip to Bodh Gaya and onward travels in India!

Bed experience with hello travels

This travel company is the worst & cheats the tourist. They sublet to Guwahati travel agent. They booked our hotel substandard. In paper they mentioned executive room, but they booked Dharamshala type rooms at Shillong for 4 days where they provide us one rupee soap and shampoo, and 10*10 room size, with a poor quality of food. When I asked the guwhati agent, he informed me that whatever amount Ecowin has paid, we have arranged. It was the worst experience of my life and have to stay in that hotel room for 4 days. We were two families. And paid Rs 15000 per person.

Dear Sir, We are sorry for the problems you have faced, though we would like to clarify the following:
Initially, we had offered you a hotel in Shillong which we normally use. However on 24 Sept 2015, your mail suggested to arrange a package with a limited budget of Rs. 16000 Per person including all meals. No where you had asked for a star category hotel.

Before making the booking - the hotel name was given and also we had requested you to check its website. So it should not have been a surprise. We understand you were not happy with it but by no means, it can be called a Dharmshala. The site of the hotels can be still visited which puts it tariff as Rs. 3200 per night per double room with breakfast , dinner and taxes. Unfortunately, your expectation was a luxury hotel in a standard economy budget.

This tour package covered - Hotel for 5 Nights/ 6 Days, breakfast, and Dinner throughout, sightseeing, transportation for all 6 days @ Rs. 15000/- per person. Any experienced tourist can vouch that this is very fair and reasonable package in North East India. While putting your complaint you forgot to mention the additional services which were arranged without any charges. The vehicle for the tour was upgraded free of cost, an evening river cruise was added at the same price, and several sightseeing point were added which was never committed by us. We hope this should have been noticed and appreciated. The hotel in Guwahati was also a high category hotel which you yourself had accepted on the phone.

Using a local associate is a common practice in tourism industry around the world. This brings reliability and efficiency in services . It is not possible for a tour operator to keep own offices at every corner in the country. This can?t be called sublet.
