About Detroit Zoo

The Detroit Zoo is situated around 2 miles of the Detroit city limits at the crossing point of Woodward Avenue Michigan, United States.
The main Detroit Zoo opened in 1883 on Michigan and Trumbull Avenues zone south of Michigan limited by Church Street and west of tenth Street or then Wesley Street, opposite the then site of Tiger Stadium. A carnival by William Cameron Coup had touched base around the local area, just to lose everything fiscally. Luther Beecher, a main Detroit national and industrialist, financed the buy of the carnival creatures and raised a working for their show called the Detroit Zoological Garden. The zoo shut the next year and the building changed over into a stallion sell off Michigan Avenue Horse Exchange.
