The exciting travel experience that inhabits Goa is something that doesn’t need any introduction! What is Goa- the perfect getaway or holiday destination with your friends! I think that I would speak for everyone when I say that one is always ever ready to go to Goa! But more than the fun and vibe, what does Goa offer? If you are beach lover, Goa is for you. Though the state remains crowded in most parts of the year now, but there is a list of many exciting things that you can do in Goa!
The clam of the Beach at Baga is something a lot of tourists come to Goa for. If you would want to just relax yourself and sun bathe- then do so at the lovely Baga Beach. It is one of my all time favorite places, coupled with some delicious sea food!
Once you are done with the beach, you can roam around to explore some famous landmarks. Dona Paula is a must visit. Situated in Panjim, it is situated up on the rocks and to many offers a romantic view and setting.
I am a fan of shopping at Flea markets and each region offers its own charm. In Goa, the Anjuna Beach Flea Market is a cool place, with huge throngs of people buying local artefacts, handicrafts, clothes. It is indeed a famous destination with stalls of some authentic Goan cuisine waiting to greet the hungry travellers.
Goa over the years has also become famous for adventure sports. Calangute is now the hub for water sports in Goa and the whole of South India. People surely don’t want to miss parasailing here.
If you want to know about some interesting aspects of Goan history, you definitely should visit the Basilicca of Bom Jesus, that preserves the remains of St. Francis Xavier since hundreds of years! A miracle Indeed- one must definitely learn and explore the history behind it and if you are lucky, can witness the casket themselves. Another main attraction is Fort Aguada, where some famous scenes of the movie, Dil Chahta were filmed. It is actually a quiet place and offers a beautiful view.
Goa did exist since time immemorial but then movies like Dil Chahta hai happened and it became a household name! Well I was one of them who was charmed by the region’s beauty and it took me there.. Go make your trip to Goa, if you haven’t already!
