1. Kailash Manasarovar Yatra

3. Haridwar
One of the seven holy places in India for the Hindus.
Located in Uttarakhand on the banks of River Ganga.

4. Varanasi
The holiest place for the Hindus in India.

6. Amritsar

Sikhs visit the holy Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara (The Golden Temple) to seek blessings at this holy place.
The Golden Temple houses the holy book of the Sikh Religion ‘Guru Granth Sahib’.
7. Chardham Yatra
4 holy places for Hindus- Yamunotri, Gangotri, Badrinath, Kedarnath located in Uttarakhand.
Yatra starts mostly from Haridwar (227 km) to Yamunotri and so on.
All your sins are washed away and you can attain salvation after death.
8. Amarnath Yatra
Hindu devotees travel on foot to the Amarnath Cave either from Srinagar or Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
A stalagmitic pinda of Lord Shiva appears in the Amarnath cave in between July and August.
The yatra is extremely difficult but fulfilling when the yatris see the lingam and experience the presence of Lord Shiva in each and everything.
9. Vaishno Devi Yatra
Located in Jammu and Kashmir, Katra is the nearest city (45 km).
Pilgrims seek the blessings of Mata Rani, manifestation of Goddess Durga.
The climb up the Trikuta Mountains can be made by palanquins or riding ponies.

10. Kumbhamela
Held in a three year rotation interval at Haridwar, Allahabad, Nashik, Ujjain.
Largest peaceful gathering in the world.
People take a dip in the holy rivers Ganga at Haridwar, confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati at Allahabad, Godavari at Nashik and Shipra at Ujjain.
A dip in these holy rivers washes away all sins, grants salvation.
